NATIONAL CENTRE FOR ANTARCTIC AND OCEAN RESEARCH (NCAOR) : WALKIN INTERVIEW FOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST – B AT GOA ON 11th APRIL 2011.***

The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR) is looking for prospective candidates for filling up the following position under the project "Geological and Tectonic Evolution of the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal sectors of the Northern Indian Ocean". The position is purely temporary on contract basis under the project mode, initially for a period of one year. Candidate fulfilling the eligibility conditions are invited to attend the walk-in-interview at NCAOR on 11.04.2011 (Monday) (from 9.30 AM onwards).

WALKIN DATE : 11-04-2011 (11th April 2011).

WALKIN LOCATION : Goa.

POSITION : Research Scientist "B" .

PAYSCALE : Rs.36,000/- pm (consolidated)

AGE LIMIT : Not exceeding 35 years (Relaxable as per rules)

QUALIFICATION : (i) Master's degree in Geophysics / Applied Geophysics/ Marine Geophysics/ Geology / Applied Geology/ Marine Sciences / Oceanography/ Earth Sciences from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at Graduation or Post Graduation level.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : To play an active role in all facets of work program related to the project: participation in scientific cruises: marine geophysical data processing/ interpretation.


All candidates are required to bring the original documents related to educational qualifications, date of birth, work experience, caste etc. One set of duly attested copies of all the documents by the Gazetted officer should be submitted with the Bio-data at the time of interview ( in the prescribed format – Annexure-I available on NCAOR web site (www.ncaor.gov.in), one self attested recent passport size photograph should be pasted in the appropriate place in the bio-data.
