IPR Technical Training programme9**
Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) is an autonomous Institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India to conduct research in the fields of plasma physics and associated technologies, with special mandates to perform various developments in the area of controlled thermonuclear fusion as a future source of energy and to develop industrially beneficial technologies using plasmas. IPR is also actively involved in the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project, an experimental fusion reactor being constructed at Cadarache, France, under an international partnership agreement.
ITER-India is a specially empowered project within IPR, to deliver the commitments towards ITER. Facilitation Center for Industrial Plasma Technologies (FCIPT), a division of IPR, is actively involved in the development and popularization of plasma technologies relevant to Indian industries.
More information on the Institute, FCIPT and the ITER project can be found in the websiteshttp://www.ipr.res.in , http://www.plasmaindia.com and http://www.iter-india.org.
Applications are invited for the Technical Trainee Programme-2011 for entry-level career opportunities available at:
1. Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) where basic plasma physics and domestic fusion program activities are pursued and theFacilitation Center for Industrial Plasma Technologies (FCIPT), a division of IPR, which is engaged in the development and transfer of plasma technologies relevant to industries.
2. ITER-India,a specially empowered project within IPR, to deliver India's commitments (involving state of the art technology and R&D) towards International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) being constructed at Cadarache, France, under an international partnership agreement.
