Amazon is looking for a Support Engineer within the Amazon Instant Video Website team. As a Support Engineer you will identify trouble areas in the Amazon Instant Video online and offline customer experience and provide crucial information to the development team. You will become intimate with the architecture consisting of many different systems in order to correlate user feedback with code. You'll affect prioritization and be the customer ambassador in engineering. You will be working with a development team of one of the hottest projects at Amazon. Basic Qualifications: BE/ B. Tech/ MCA in Computer Science or a related technical field 1+ years of development/testing/technical support experience. Experience in Perl, shell scripts, Ruby, etc. Knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system Knowledge of basic internet technologies such as XML, JS, CSS, HTML etc. Knowledge of C++ and/or Java. Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, workflow modeling, web application development, and industry-standard commerce systems Preferred Qualification: Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues. Demonstrated skill and passion for operational excellence. Experience in a 24/7 production environment is a plus. Ability to retain composure under stressful conditions, communicate effectively with a wide array of individuals at Amazon, and get the right things done.
