Description
The US Law Firms Content Technology group provides systems development and support for all its content processing needs. All of the content used by US Law Firms in its print and electronic products is sourced from systems developed by this group. The group oversees and executes on a wide range of project types, ranging from cost saving infrastructure to revenue driving product development initiatives.
Acquisition and Publishing Systems (APS) group is responsible for the software applications needed to acquire, convert and publish information across all major US Law Firms content sets. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to serve as Trainee Software Engineers with the Content Technology team in Bangalore.
The ideal candidate should possess good logical analysis and problem solving skills. They must also possess effective oral and written communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills. They are required to quickly learn technological skills by doing and contribute to the projects they are assigned to.
DAY-T0-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development activities:
o Learn new technological skills on the job.
o Understand requirements, project domain time estimates for projects and software design plans.
o Develop good quality code.
o Understand technical design documentation.
o Understand and execute detailed test plans (unit testing and functional testing).
- Production Support & Maintenance activitiies: o Assist team in responding effectively to support issues and follow up till resolution
o Assist team in troubleshooting and provide quick resolution to production problemsEDUCATION:BE/ BTech in CS/E&C/IS/E&E, MCA or equivalent
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Good academic record (minimum 60% in qualifying exam) 0 to 1 year experience
Knowledge of Java is highly desirable
